Good Morning Family!

Last Sunday, we finished up the present sermon series, “Foundations” where we took a look at some of the basic teachings of scripture regarding our journey through life with the Lord.  All through our travels through the many passages of Scripture covered, we were constantly reminded of how much we need the Lord in our lives to navigate this crazy world and all of its pitfalls. All we need to do is take the Lord at His word when He tells us the things we need to know, and then our path will be guided and guarded by Him along the way.  Yes, there may be hard times, but He promises His presence there with us every step.

This morning, we are returning to our over-arching sermon series, “The Greatest Story Ever Told”.  In it, we are covering every verse of the four Gospels, chronologically as best we can.  We began this sermon series in June of 2017 and this morning marks sermon number 163.  The only times that we have not in this series have been during holiday times and other times where we may take breaks to cover certain timely topics or current events as the Lord leads.  We are still looking at 2028 sometime for our finish line.

This will be a major accomplishment for this church family to have systematically covered the Gospels over the course of time.  We have preached through other books of the Bible verse by verse in years past and even in the midst of this series, but this undertaking will be a milestone for us.  I am looking forward to completing this task with you.  That Sunday, when we reach the final sermon in the series, whenever that winds up being, we will have to have a celebration for the over ten years we will have invested in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,
