Good Morning Family!
Today is the big day! Our Fifth Annual Fall Fish Fry featuring The Homestead Pickers is just a few hours away. I want to thank in advance all who are staying after service to prep food, fry fish, and help set up the stage area and those who will stay after the event for tear down and clean up. I have no words of gratitude that are meaningful enough to convey my thanks for everyone.
I do want to give a big shout-out to Tracy Hudson and our Special Events Team and those that help in that area for making this a big success each year. I also thank those who have provided some of the fish, sides and desserts. There are so many hands that get together to pull this off every year. It is one of the ways that we share our concern and care for our community by providing an evening for folks to come together for a community meal and a great evening of Ozark music under the stars, and also hear a word from the Lord along the way.
This morning, we will continue our ongoing series, ‘The Greatest Story Ever Told” as we take a look at another of Jesus’ final parables that challenge us to check our motives for service and our depth of devotion to His calling in our lives.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
Humbly Yours,
Dr. Steven Gann
