From Your Pastor's Heart - April 10, 2016

Good Morning!

Once again, I am amazed by the family of God here at FBCCF!  The outpouring of action when needs are presented among our church family here can be simply awesome.  I know it is the Spirit of God at work among us as we rise to different challenges the Lord places in our paths.  I know His hand is mightily at work here and He is our strength through everything.  God is so incredibly faithful!

Today, we are going to be sharing in a time of Business Meeting at the close of our service this morning.  As you look at our financial report, you will notice we had several quarterly payments go out and a couple of yearly expenses occur the last two months in a row(insurance, propane and such as that), simply because that is when they were due.  As with any family budget, these expenses will cause us to necessarily watch our pennies the next few months in our ministry areas.  This is nothing new to us though, as we press on as good stewards of that which the Lord has entrusted to us as God’s people who are faithful to give to the Lord’s ministries.

Robin and I stand alongside you in our commitment to the Lord to give proportionately and sacrificially toward the General Church Budget and for those of us who have taken on the responsibility of a rock in our Building Fund; we are excited to see what the Lord has done in that area as well.  It is through your faithfulness and the Lord’s blessing of what is given that we are able to continue the work of ministry together.  The Lord definitely supplies what we need as a church, but He is not obliged to give us what we think we need to feel comfortable or to have sense of security in funds.  Our security must remain only in Him.  I would rather live day to day trusting Him than to have more than I need without Him.  Kind of sounds like something Jesus said in Matthew 6:25-34 in the Sermon on the Mount... (Now, you’ll want to look this up.)

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”  II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro Steve
