From Your Pastor's Heart - April 23, 2017

Good Morning Family!

We had a wonderful Sunday last week as we celebrated Resurrection Day!  We shared in a good breakfast as family around the tables and then our service that followed.  Thanks goes out to Janet and Mary Ann for preparing and coordinating and all of those who worked in the kitchen and/or prepared cinnamon rolls for the breakfast.

Also, I want to mention those that shared their musical talents with us in the service.  Thanks to John for leading our choir and to those who faithfully came to rehearsals in the weeks leading up to Easter.  Your commitment does not go unnoticed.  I want to also thank Elaine, Tracy, and Clarence for sharing the Word in song with us that morning.  It is a blessing to be a part of a church that loves music.

I stuck around afterwards and watched the kids have fun at the egg hunt.  They had a great time and so a thank you goes out to Tracy and those who helped her put that together.  A good time was had by all.

I want to tell you once again, that it is a privilege to be a part of a church family that focuses on the main thing.  Christ should be and is at the center of all that we try to do.  Robin shared with me a song this past week that she had heard, called “I Choose Christ” by Karen Peck and New River.  It is a great song with lyrics that praise the Lord for His faithfulness no matter what our circumstances.  As long as we keep Him as our focus, we are on the right track as we navigate this crazy world.

As we continue to move forward together in ministry, I want us to continue to seek to follow only Jesus’ leading and His Word as to how we minister to individuals, families, and our community and rely upon Him for the outcome.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro Steve
