From Your Pastor's Heart – April 5, 2015

Good Morning Family,

Resurrection Day!  Again, prophecies were unfolding before the world’s very eyes.  The Lord of Glory had risen in the early morning hours of that Sunday in Jerusalem.  It was the culmination of our Lord’s earthly ministry and the capstone that proved all he had claimed about himself was true.

Salvation had been accomplished for those who would come to believe on His Name.  The Old Testament saints had looked forward to the day of the promise of God that He would send the Messiah.  And He had!  Jesus, the Lamb of God slain before the foundation of the world had risen from the dead.

He had taken upon Himself all the sin of the world; past, present, and future of every individual and made salvation possible for all.  He was the propitiation; He satisfied the wrath of God on our behalf in order to justify us before the Father and Judge of all creation.

Today, we are so encouraged to have our choir present to us the musical, “Worthy is the Lamb!”  Not only because of the message of the music, but because Jesus is indeed worthy of all praise.  I pray that as we gather to worship our Lord this morning that we leave with an increased awareness that we serve a Risen Savior.  He is a Lord and Master who desires to walk with us daily through His Word and His presence within us in the person of the Holy Spirit.

What a privilege to commune with the same Jesus we read about in the Bible and to know He desires fellowship with us, but also requires of us obedience to walk as He walked.  We know we are His as we seek to know Him more and more through His Word and through our eager surrender to His perfect will for our lives moment by moment.

That’s what I look forward to today in worship!

As always, my prayer is that we would all Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”    II Timothy 2:15.

Humbly Yours,

Bro Steve

Dr. Steven Gann, Your Shepherd
