From Your Pastor's Heart - August 16, 2015

Good Morning Family,

OK, so here is what I love about our church fellowship:

I love that there is truly a family atmosphere here.  It is not pretend.  It is not phony.  We are not acting here.  This church body at this local location in Cape Fair is truly a family.  We are brothers and sisters together in our mission for the Kingdom of God.  There is a genuine caring that is at the base of what is going on here.  I love my church family!

Secondly, there is an authentic understanding of what our mission is.  This church has a unique ministry to the surrounding area.  We are the shepherds to a great many souls in and around the hills of Cape Fair.  The ministry to which the outward reach of the church is committed has fallen into place in order to be a lighthouse to the children and families of this area.

Step back for a moment and see the children all around you.  The Gospel of Christ is making an effect on these children in major ways.  Think for a moment if next week, the church were not here.  Our mission was ended and the van did not come by to pick them up.  The church buildings were simply vacant.  What a tragedy to think of this area without this church; without your involvement.  I love this ministry!

One more thing I love about our fellowship is the study of the scriptures that is foremost in our mission.  There is nothing better than sitting around a table, gathering in a room here in our facility, or coming together in the sanctuary to study God’s Word and interact with one another.  As iron sharpens iron, so we sharpen one another in our pursuit of the truths of God and its application in our lives.  This is what makes us more committed to each other and our joint mission.  I love meeting with God’s people!

As always, my prayer is that we would all Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”    II Timothy 2:15.

Humbly Yours,

Bro Steve

Dr. Steven Gann
