From Your Pastor's Heart - August 30, 2015

Good Morning Family!

What a great Lord’s Day last week!  I am so thankful that Tracy and David Hudson clued me in about The Texans.  Thanks so much, you two!  Sam, Brenda, and Curtis really ministered to the Body of Christ here at FBCCF.  It was a morning of praise, worship, and prayer.  I even was able to personally visit with Curtis a little later in the week and share again how pleased we were with their ministry.

You, as a church body, were very generous as well in your Love Offering to The Texans’ ministry.  Giving for them totaled $542 from among us.  Way to go, church!

Today, in our service, we are going to be recognizing our Sunday School teachers and those students who are promoting to the next grade level.  I am so thankful for our teachers and their commitment to teaching the Word of God.  Your labors are bearing fruit in the lives of those in your classes.

I know the emphasis this morning is Sunday School, but I am also thankful for those who lead in our Tuesday Morning Men’s Group, our Wednesday Night Children and Youth groups, and our Thursday Morning Women’s Group.  I am so grateful that this church is devoted to the study of God’s Word and discipleship as integral parts of the whole mission with which we have been entrusted by the Master.

Also, this morning, we will be sharing in The Lord’s Supper today as the Body.  I always look forward to celebrating this with you.  Isn’t it something that an ordinance the church has observed for almost 2,000 years is always new each time; just like the Lord’s mercies are new every day?  It is always an awesome thing to consider Jesus’ sacrifice.

As always, my prayer is that we would all Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”    II Timothy 2:15.

Humbly Yours,

Bro Steve
