From Your Pastor's Heart - August 6, 2017

Good Morning Family,

I want remind you to take a look in your bulletin today for all that is going on and coming up.  I also want to have you try to put to memory the new motto we have on our publications.  It is short sweet and to the point...Our Message-JESUS!  Our Motive-THE CROSS!

I think that can keep us dead center and focused on the main thing as we do ministry together.  Jesus is our Lord and Savior and His salvation through the cross is what is needed by a dying world.

August is here and summer is slipping away.  School is starting very soon and fall will be just around the corner.  We have just begun a new sermon series in our morning services and we are going to be having a short special called Business Meeting on August 13th right before we start the morning service.  We announced it last week from the pulpit, but it was set for August 6th.  I want us to put it off until the 13th to make sure we get the word out adequately.  The question we will be looking at is “Shall we move the start time of the Sunday Morning service from 10:30am to 10:45am?”  We have talked about it from time to time and I believe it is time to settle the issue as the church body together.  So, we will decide one way or the other next week.

Make sure you make plans to join us tonight as we will be “digging deeper” into the text for this morning’s sermon.  I have decided that we will do this periodically as the Lord leads; helping us glean even more from the selected scripture passages used in our Sunday morning messages.  Tonight, we will look a little deeper into the genealogies of Jesus and see the grace of God at every turn!  Bring your Bible and a shovel.

As always, my prayer is that we would all Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”        II Timothy 2:15.

Humbly Yours,

Bro Steve
