From Your Pastor's Heart - February 19, 2017

Good Morning Family!

This morning, I am so glad to tell you that our dear brother, Rev. Dale Keel is bringing a message from the Word during our service today.  We are going to begin hearing from Bro. Dale during the preaching time more frequently in our services from time to time in the future.  I believe there is much we can all learn from this man’s life of study of God Word and relating to people.

I know that the Lord has used him greatly to minister to me and help sharpen me many times in our private conversations about life and ministry.  Dale and Judy are an incredible blessing to our family and to this church.  We have been greatly blessed by the Lord in Him seeing fit to place them here at FBCCF.

I am not the sharpest tack in the drawer and so it takes me a while to figure things out at times.  And so the Lord brought to my attention this past Sunday that we should be hearing more from Bro. Dale as a full congregation.  So, this Sunday it is, with more to come!  I am excited about that!

The Lord has placed each of us here for the building up and encouraging of one another.  The Lord has been ingraining this into my heart recently.  A pastor is primarily a shepherd, not a dispenser of information.  I want to relay God’s Word in a way that encourages you, relates to life, builds up, and at times, corrects all of us; myself included.  Now, understand that the Word always does those things; but it is up to me to convey it in a way that it can do that, as I try to get out of the way.  That’s the rub, so to speak.

Again, I am thankful for Bro. Dale stepping in this morning and guiding us through God’s Word today.  You pray for him as he leads us in the preaching time.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steve
