From Your Pastor’s Heart – February 1, 2015

Good Morning Family!

What a full day we have!  As we wrap up the sermon series:  “On These We Stand” this morning, we’ll be not only discussing Baptism, but we will also be experiencing it together as only the Lord could have brought it about in his timing.  Thanks to the men who came up and helped us get the baptistery set up in the sanctuary.

We are also going to share in the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper together this morning.  It is a special time in the life of our church that we are going to emphasize even more this year.  We will be coming around the Lord’s Table every month this year as we make certain we keep the reason why we are a church front and center.  That reason is the Good News that the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus is the central theme of all we are about and is the central theme of the Scriptures.  The Old Testament looked toward the Atonement and the New Testament saw its fulfillment.  Salvation is found in no other!  Praise His holy Name!

Today as well, we are going to have Janet Gehant walk us through the rollout of the new website for FBCCF.  This will be a great tool for us to not just have a presence on the web, but to connect with people who may be looking for a church home and then be able to find us here in Cape Fair.  The website will also help us better keep connected and informed of happenings and events as a church family.

We are just starting the new site from the ground up and we are so thankful for Janet and her very hard work in getting the new website online.  As time goes, we will continue to build more information into it.  It is definitely a work in progress, and what she has done so far is incredible work!  Thanks, Janet!

The internet is one way for us to reach out, but we all know the most effective way of reaching people with the Gospel comes as we live our lives in the community and people see the Lord in us as we live pleasing to Him.

As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”  II Timothy 2:15
