From Your Pastor's Heart - January 11, 2015

Good Morning Family!

Needless to tell you, we are out of town this Sunday.  I am so thankful for Dennis taking our Wednesday Night Adult Prayer/Study time.  And I am glad you all have the opportunity to hear Rev. Dale Keel in our worship services today.

It is good to know that you all are in such great hands while we are away.   Having such wonderful brothers and sisters in Christ is such a comfort.   God has gifted this local body with so many dedicated servant-leaders.  It is a pleasure and a blessing to be a part of this family.

We will be departing tomorrow (Monday) morning to come back home.  As I write this on Thursday night, we have had a good time spending a little time with relatives up north.  But, it will be good to get back home and get back in the swing of things.

  • A few things coming up…

Next Sunday, January 18th, we will have our first Quarterly Church Family Luncheon/Business Meeting.  I am sure there will be information about this announced to you all this morning.  We will hold this luncheon immediately after the morning service and then follow that with a time of church business toward the end of the meal.

On Sunday, January 25th, we will have our first Discovering Membership Class of 2015.  This class is for those who would like to know more about what membership at FBCCF means.  The class is about an hour in length and begins at 5:30pm.  It is held in the Education/Office Building in the large north room.  This is the class that we ask individuals to attend if they are considering membership or maybe simply want to know more about FBCCF.  Our most important objective in Discovering Membership is to make certain individuals understand the Gospel and have a relationship with Jesus Christ.

As always, my prayer is that we would all Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”    II Timothy 2:15.

Humbly Yours,

Bro Steve

Dr. Steven Gann, Your Shepherd
