From Your Pastor's Heart - January 29, 2017

Good Morning Family!

I am just going to try and hit a few bits and pieces this morning, so follow me through this letter. As you may know, last week’s service turned out to be quite different than planned.  We enjoyed a good time around the Lord’s Table and then a time of sharing in a season of prayer together.  It is always awesome to see what the Lord may do to our “best laid” plans.

This morning, the “plan” is to get into text of Ephesians chapter 1.  We have had a couple of introductory messages regarding the subject matter and focus of where we are going next, and now we get into the text.  The sign outside, if you have noticed, is a piece of Ephesians 6:10 to help us to remember from where our strength comes.  Each of us has different challenges in our personal lives with which we must constantly deal.  The Lord is there to empower us to overcome.  I can try to fight all day long in my own power, but when I rely on Him, He can pull me through; and He will do so for you as well.

I am so looking forward to the rest of winter and the coming spring here at FBCCF.  Make sure you stay abreast of events and activities that are up and coming.  The best way to do that is to either pick up a bulletin or check the church website at We try to do our best to keep you informed regarding opportunities for service and fellowship.

The Lord has laid out a great mission field before us in Cape Fair and all of us are needed in the effort.  So, make sure you prioritize the Lord first in your life.  When you do this, He will take care of the rest of your needs and will bring order and peace to your life even in the midst of stormy times that may come.  Each week, I see people in the body of Christ who are ministering to others in the power of the Holy Spirit.  Whether it is through leading an Adult Bible Study or Sunday School class, caring for children in the nursery, teaching kids and everyone in between; the Lord is blessing the efforts of those who are submitted to Him.  Robin and I consider it a privilege to work alongside all of you.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”   II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steve
