From Your Pastor's Heart - July 9, 2017

Good Morning Family,

I hope everyone was able to pull away at least a little break to spend some happy moments and safe times with family and friends this past week as we celebrated America’s 241st birthday.  Don’t you just love the smell of black powder!

I am writing this week as we are in the middle of our Chest of Joash Offering emphasis.  A few weeks ago, we decided as a church body to fund the replacement of our two air conditioning and furnace units in the two story section of the Education Building with monies we already had and then to ask the Lord to help us with putting together the rest of the around $4000 needed to complete the job.

“Chest of Joash” Offering envelopes were passed out after our Special Called Business Meeting.  By the way if you did not get one, they are kept in a box on the front pew on Sunday mornings for you.  We are each asking the Lord to help us to determine what our gift should be as we work together as a church family and friends to be obedient to the Lord in this endeavor.  I am excited to see what the Lord does through our faithfulness to give over and above our normal giving to the church budget to meet this great need.  The offering emphasis culminates on July 16.

By way of announcement, we have moved our regularly scheduled quarterly July Business Meeting to July 16.  It was supposed to be this Sunday, but we wanted to give enough time to complete the “Chest of Joash Offering” and have a good report on proceeding with the AC/Furnace Project and we will have completed the VBS: EXODUS 2017: The Big Exit event by then as well.  Looking forward to a great celebration of God’s hand moving among us on Sunday July 16th!

As always, my prayer is that we would all Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”    II Timothy 2:15.

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steve
