From Your Pastor's Heart - June 25, 2017

Good Morning Family!

We are almost through with June!  Can you believe it?  Our worship services are having a great spirit as we allow the Lord to move in our hearts in response to His precious Word.  I always look so forward to our time in the Scriptures where we ponder what He wants of us as individuals and as a church body.

Today, I am excited for several things.  First, we are going to share together in Communion around the Table of the Lord.  This wonderful picture of His sacrifice for us is always awe-inspiring as we think of the grace of Jesus and the great love of the Father as well as the fellowship of the Holy Spirit among us as we partake of the Body and Blood of the Lord.

Also today, we are going to meet to look at moving ahead on a great ministry need in the form of a special called business meeting.  We are going to discuss our funding for the new air conditioning units for the Education/Fellowship Hall Building.  The Lord has already provided much of the dollars needed for this endeavor through a special gift this past Christmas and there are other funds that have been built into our assets from where we can draw.  The other part involves allowing the Lord to show His power and strength through our faith in His leading in this project.  We will discuss more about this exciting step of faith later this morning.

At around 12:30 today, we will be hosting a high school graduation ceremony for one of Linda Wilks’ students, our friend Samantha Orme.  Recently Samantha has completed the requirements necessary for achieving her diploma.  So, we will host a service for her today after our church time of meeting has concluded.  Following the brief time of music, scripture and a challenge from the Word, those attending are invited to the Fellowship Hall for a  reception put together by the ladies of the Women’s Bible Study Group here at FBCCF; of which Sam has been a part.

All in all, looking forward to a wonderful day here at FBCCF!

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steve
