From Your Pastor's Heart - March 4, 2018

Good Morning Family!

As of this writing, I am planning on beginning our “Greatest Story Ever Told” series once again.  I have been looking forward to pressing ahead in the Gospels and continuing our walk through the life of Jesus.

Let me remind us all how this will work.  We are taking all four Gospels together in a chronological fashion and going step by step through their accounts in a way that will help us get a good idea of how things happened in the life of Christ and in what order as best as we can figure; and then making practical application to our lives.

We are already 14 sermons in and have covered up through “The Temptation of Christ” in the wilderness.  We left off around Thanksgiving and the Lord has not brought me back to pick up where we left off until this week.  This old world has been a busy place and we have tried to gather our bearings with some topical sermons in the meantime that I pray have been helpful to you along the way during January and February.

I want us to make a concerted effort to be consciously asking the Lord what we can do as individuals in making certain, we are an inviting church.  By inviting, I don’t mean only an inviting and pleasant place in which to come.  By inviting, I mean inviting people, friends, family, or being open to the Lord using you to invite those that come across your path in our community as you go about.

FBCCF is a very healthy church and we want to make certain we are doing all we can do to reach people with the Gospel.  As we have been talking about, this world is a gnarly place to navigate, let alone people trying to live day to day without much thought to Jesus.  Let’s do all we can to represent Him well to others.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”  II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

 Bro Steve
