From Your Pastor's Heart - November 1, 2015

Greetings Family!

November!  One of my favorite months.  November 1st is actually the day that we officially begin Christmas music around our house.  Also, I greatly enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday as a time to give praise to God for all He has done and continues to do in our lives, families, and in our church.

As a church body, we are still in process of laying groundwork for present and future ministry together.  I feel as though we have been here for a longer period of time, but we have not even served together for two years yet.  You all welcomed us and have made us truly members of your family.  We look so forward to serving the rest of our lives here with you, Lord willing.

As of this new writing (Friday), the Fall Festival at FBCCF had not occurred, but much work has gone into its planning and set up.  There was a good group of our wonderful ladies there on Thursday night along with some of our youth setting up and decorating for this outreach event.  We are praying for the Lord to bring many families from our community to this event.  This is another opportunity to show them how much we care about their spiritual well being and to let them see the love of Jesus through us!  Thanks to all of you who donated the candy, food, and treats for this outreach!

I want to emphasize again to you that I am asking for your prayers for our church as we step through some important decisions in the coming months regarding following the Lord in obedience to the Scriptures and devotion to His Word. He is our Lord and His Word is our standard for all that we believe and all that we do.  I thank Him everyday that our church is a church that puts His Word first and is committed to walk in it eagerly and fervently.

As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”    II Timothy 2:15.

Humbly Yours,

Bro Steve
