From Your Pastor's Heart - September 17, 2017

Good Morning Family,

You never know what’s going to happen around here!  Just after we had dismissed the service last Sunday, I had made my way to the front door as usual.  As soon as I got there, a few folks had already made it outside to the parking lot before I got to the door and I was immediately called back to the front of the sanctuary; where most folks were still visiting after the service as usual.

During the invitation time, Timothy Hudson had come forward with his grandfather Rev. Dale Keel to kneel to pray together at the altar.  As the service drew to a close, we were quietly dismissed as private prayer was still being offered at the altar by those two men.  I am thankful for the spirit of following the Lord’s leading at our church as someone came to get me and told me that something was happening right as the service dismissed.

As I came back to the front, Bro. Dale shared the wonderful news with all of us.  We were so happy to hear that Timothy had come and surrendered His heart and life to Christ!  There were many tears of joy and lots of hugs among the family of God.  It is so good to share in those moments of victory as was evidenced by the smiles and “Amens!” all around the room.

I am looking forward to a wonderful autumn of seeing God surely move in our midst as we continue to commit ourselves to Him and His purposes.

As always, my prayer is that we would all Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”   II Timothy 2:15.

Humbly Yours,

Bro Steve

Dr. Steven Gann
