From Your Pastor's Heart - September 25, 2016

Good Morning Family,

It is officially Fall!  This is my second favorite time of year after winter.  God is so amazing in tilting the Earth at a perfect 23.5 degrees off perpendicular to give most of the planet beautiful seasons of one kind or another.  With us being in the middle upper latitudes, we get the lion’s share of extremes and I love it!

Along with Fall comes leaves, pumpkins, hot bowls of chili, football games, and cooler weather with sweatshirts and sweaters.  The Lord, in His goodness, created the seasons for our good and His glory.  The science behind the fall colors may not ean much to most people, but the colors sure do.

Pretty soon these hills will look like someone spilled “Froot Loops” all over them and we will “Oooo” and Ahhh” is goodness created the seasons for our good and His glory as we stand in awe of the beauty of eachhihi     at His majesty displayed in nature.  My prayer is that as this season goes to the next, that we will all move into a new season of our own spiritually, where we will begin to seek the Lord even more in our daily lives.

We are moving into a new season of study on Sunday mornings very soon as we only have a few weeks left of our journey together through the Book of Romans.  Pray with me for God to take us into some new areas that will help all of us move into a closer walk with Him.  That should be our constant goal: “to know and love Him more and more”.  The wonderful thing is that we can always draw closer to Him because He is infinite and eternal.   We can never get enough of Him as we seek to draw ever nearer to the Lover of our Souls.

As always, my prayer is for you to, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”    II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro Steve
