From Your Pastor's Heart - April 19, 2026

Good Morning Family!

As we enter this time before the end of the school year, let’s be mindful to pray for our students as they prepare for all of the final assignments and tests that come along with this time of year.  Also, be sure to pray for the teachers as they work through their plan to bring the year of learning to a close and desire to see the best come out in all of their students.

We continue to be a nation at war even though it seems as though it is far removed from us here in the heartland of the United States.  But let’s not forget to pray for those executing this war in which the stated mission was to protect the homeland.   It is easy to become insulated to the greater needs of the world as we are living in an area that seems very secluded at times here in Cape Fair.  Granted, we are very close to a vacation destination, but we can also quickly retreat to our homes here in the Ozarks and create a mental distance from the events in the national news.  Sometimes that can be a blessing.  But we do have to guard against apathy then as well.

This next Tuesday is a Tuesday 1:3 Adult Bible Fellowship gathering.  I would encourage you to join us at 6:30pm for dinner, prayer, and a journey back in time to the origins of the scriptures as we look at the topic, “How We Got the Bible” over the coming months.  We are going to go pretty deep into the past and talk about how the Bible was originally written and see it from an archaeological and historical standpoint.  The end goal is to help us all to be confident that our Bible in our hand is reliably the Word of God to us.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”   II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steven
