Good Morning Family!
This morning is, of course, Palm Sunday. Today, we remember the day that Jesus rode into Jerusalem as the rightful King. But He was not to be the military Messiah that the people wanted. His battle was to culminate on the cross as He offered Himself as the sacrifice for the sins of all of humanity…individually!
I hope you will take advantage of all of the opportunities for worship and time with your church family that we have planned this week. I know without Christmas, there is no Easter, but without Good Friday, there is no Easter either. Easter-Resurrection Day is the stamp of approval and authority on the absolute most pivotal day in all of history, Good Friday.
This Friday at 6:30pm, we will gather here in the sanctuary for a special time of reflection and communion as we look back at the events of that time between Thursday and Friday on what we call Holy Week. Come for worship, prayer, our choir will sing, and we will gather around the Table of the Lord to commemorate His sacrifice for you and for me.
Easter Sunday morning will begin at 8:45am with a breakfast in the Fellowship Hall, then Sunday School at 9:30am followed by our Easter Worship service at 10:30am featuring worship, a choral selection, prayer, and a special Resurrection Day message of encouragement.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
Humbly Yours,
Bro. Steven
