Good Morning Family,
A great time was had by all last Sunday as we celebrated in the ordination of Barney Munhollon and his addition to our Deacon Team. Lori, Landon, and Barney are great servants of the Lord and friends to all of us and we are blessed the Lord has brought them to be a part of the family here at FBCCF.
I mentioned in the morning service last week that Kim and Laurel Harvey from Convoy of Hope based in Springfield had heard about the ministry of FBCCF and came to see what we are all about this past Wednesday night. They pulled up in a COH Pickup and it was packed to the top of the bed and the back of the cab with food and health products for our overall ministry to families here in Cape Fair. We were in awe of the amount of products they brought.
They spent the entire evening with our kids and leaders and then we were also able to sit down for a lengthy period after the Wednesday program to get to know each other better and to hear their heart for rural churches and for them to hear our heart for our community. Partnering with local rural churches is the heart and soul of COH. Most only know of Convoy as a world disaster relief organization similar to Samaritan’s Purse; but their main thrust from the beginning of the ministry has been empowering, equipping, and encouraging rural churches to reach deeply into their communities with the love of Jesus.
There is way more about this to come and I hope to begin to dream with you about what God may have in store to exponentially expand our reach to those in our community. Last Wednesday evening was probably one of the most encouraging evenings of ministry discussion and visioneering that I have been a part of in a very, very long time.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
Your Shepherd of the HIlls,
Bro. Steven
