Good Morning Family!

     Good Morning, He is Risen!

Happy Resurrection Day to all!  As we gather this morning as the Family of God, I pray we worship our God and King for His wondrous gift of Jesus, His Son, who was given as the sacrifice for all our sin.

A morning like today can be very busy with all that we try to put into it such as the breakfast, Sunday School, all of the music preparations for the worship service, and then the Egg Hunt that will follow the service today.  All of that activity along with the Good Friday service can achieve the opposite effect, if we are not careful.

Don’t misunderstand, we should do all we can for our King to celebrate His grace on this special day, but we have to be careful to not let the “busyness” take away from the worship and celebration; much like the preparations for Thanksgiving can overshadow the actual giving of thanks.  So, as we are together today, let’s remember what brings us together.  Jesus brings us together and our common love for and faith in Him and also our devotion to one another.

I want to thank all those who have worked so hard for this weekend; those in the kitchen, the choir, our instrumentalists, those that prepare the Lord’s Supper, those that filled eggs and set up the egg hunt, and all those who had any part in this week.

So, to our church family; Robin, Holly, and I want to wish you all a very Happy Resurrection Sunday!  We pray you are able to spend the day in thanks and in celebration with your families and loved ones.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” - II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steven
