Good Morning Family!
This past week, at Tuesday 1:3 ABF, we had 22 that gathered to pray, fellowship, and discuss the Word together. It was time of encouragement for sure! Maybe you have not come to one of these gathering opportunities yet. I would encourage you to come check it out on a Tuesday night, if you are able. The discussion amongst those in attendance as we dive deep into the Bible passage is so incredibly insightful as we hear from many perspectives and share our experiences following the Lord.
I am looking forward to some of our Fall activities, but there is still a bit of summer to attend to. The next few Sundays in August, I will go a couple of places sermon-wise, but then wrap up on the 25th with a special time in the Word regarding the Blessing of Marriage. I hope you will notice a small invite in the bulletin from our dear brother and sister, Steve and Elaine Llewellyn. That weekend is their 40th Anniversary and as a part of the conclusion of that special morning worship service dedicated to God’s Blessing of Marriage, they will then stand before us and renew their vows.
Steve and Elaine really wanted to embrace this moment in their lives and celebrate it with us, their family in the Lord. So, they are inviting you to be a part of that special time of renewal as a living illustration of the Word that I will be sharing that morning in the service. I am looking forward to being a part of this special moment that will bring the morning to a close. We are then all invited after the morning worship service, to a reception of cake and punch in the Fellowship Hall that they have put together for their church family to come together to celebrate God’s blessings in all of our lives.
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
Your Shepherd of the Hills,
Bro. Steven
