Good Morning Family!
Actually, after further thought… next Sunday, September 4th will be Promotion Sunday for our graded classes in Sunday School. Our graded classes will have some slight restructuring and realigning and so we will make that move next week in concert with our teachers. Teachers, you will be given a list of your students for the next school year this morning in your classes, so you can know what to expect and who to expect next Sunday as we begin. I am so glad you all can “go with the flow” with me at times 😊
Last Sunday night, we took a van full of adults round to the public schools in our area and even prayed for schools of all the students to which we minister here, even if they attend beyond, Cassville, Galena, and Reeds Spring. It was a good evening of friends and prayer for our students and their teachers and school staff. Last Sunday in the service, we also had a focused time of prayer for our homeschoolers’ coming year.
Did you know that a large portion of the Psalms address the Lord in the form of, what could otherwise be called, “complaints”? The Psalmist’s prayers are, many times, expressed in questions to the Lord that are highly charged with asking Him why He is doing this or not doing that. Today, is one such Psalm as we take a listen to the song, “How Long?” from our walk through The Way of Wisdom, a musical and scriptural journey through the wisdom literature of the Old Testament. Today’s focus will be Psalm 13.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
Humbly Yours,
Bro. Steven
