Good Morning Family,
I usually do not write about anything really personal having to do with our family in my Sunday letter. But, after last week’s Sunday sermon on trusting the Lord through trials, Robin, Holly, and I got to “exercise our options” on whether we were going to wring our hands or accept the providence of the Lord.
Holly was supposed to have had her corrective surgery on her neural implant this past Wednesday. But, the Lord had other plans that involved waiting for a later date. On Monday, it was determined by her primary care practitioner that she should go on antibiotics for the two-stitch wound on her knee from the previous week. It did not look like it was healing correctly and so the prescription for antibiotics necessitated rescheduling her implant surgery.
A lot of you know this by now, but I thought I would give a short family update in my letter this week as so many were praying for her surgery that is now being bumped out a little further. We are trusting the Lord’s timing and awaiting a call from the surgeon’s office to schedule a new date.
It will be Promotion Sunday here at the end of August and so let’s be praying for our Sunday School Director and teachers as they work toward making that a good positive experience for the students who will be moving to a new class. I so appreciate Christina Harris, our Director and all of our teachers’ efforts every week to build a strong Sunday Morning Bible Study ministry. Way to go everyone!!!
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
Your Shepherd of the Hills,
Bro. Steven
