Good Morning, Family!
August has begun and that means so many things will start back soon. School is on the way and in fact, is already back in swing for our teachers. Many are already back at it in preparation for the commencing of classes in a few weeks. Let’s be sure we are praying for our local teachers, leaders, and support staff as they are in the process of getting the facilities ready and coursework laid out.
We also want to include prayer for the many homeschoolers in the area and their teachers (moms and dads) as they also gear up to bring summer vacation time to a close and buckle down to the books and learning experiences once again. Robin and I have seen all three ways of education play a part in our children’s lives; public school, Christian school, and homeschool. So, we definitely have a heart for all three ways of learning.
We continue this morning in “The Way of Wisdom” sermon series-a ten week walk through the Wisdom Literature of the Old Testament. Today’s sermon is “Under the Sun”, a look at the Book of Ecclesiastes through the lens of the music of Michael Card. I hope this morning’s sermon will touch your heart, yet I expect it to be “nothing new under the sun.” 😊
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
Humbly Yours,
Bro. Steven
