The Third Sunday of the Advent Season
Good Morning Family!
This morning is the Third Sunday of Advent and our theme today is JOY. I trust this year that you are asking the Lord to help you be “present” to those around you. It is in fully being in the moment that we are best able to reflect the gifts of Christ to all whom we encounter.
I am finding that, within myself, this is much of the time the most difficult thing to do. It takes being “present” within yourself first. Being aware of how you respond and reflect on the meaning of Christmas is the first step in being able to be an encouragement to your loved ones and friends. In order to see the joy that Christ wants to reflect to others through us, we must first recognize the gravity of the holiday itself and the transformation that the birth of Jesus has had and can have in each life. It is in the gravity that joy is found.
To the right is the schedule of Sundays, so you can see where we have been and where we are going in our Advent series… “past, present, and yet to come”.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
God Bless Us… Every One!
