Good Morning Family!

This past Wednesday Night your Children and Student Ministries Cape Crusader Team shared in a time of celebration of Christmas with the students that are brought in on the vans and by parents for our Wednesday Evening program.  We had a good number in attendance of 34 including team members.  And once again, Flat Creek Restaurant provided the evening meal for our Christmas Party.  And special thanks goes to Mary Ann Curry for providing the dessert each week, and to Holly Gann for preparing cookie decorating kits for the girls once again this year.  It was our last meeting time of the year until we pick up again on January 4, 2023.

I just need to say, I am so thankful for our Wednesday Night crews who arrive around 4:00pm or earlier and don’t get home until nearly 8:00pm each week.  The investment into the lives of these students by the CC Crew, Kitchen staff, and pre-program “watchers” is immeasurable.  Also, thanks go to several of our people who provide meals twice a month.  Your hard work in the Lord does not go unnoticed.  This ministry with which the Lord has entrusted us is such a vital lifeline to students and families in the surrounding community.

This Christmas season, we are using the standard themes of Advent to look at “The Settings of Advent”.  Each Sunday, we have been going to a different location and seeing how that particular theme intersects with the individuals in those places in the Christmas narrative and what that means for us today. And along the way, I have been sharing from my Christmas vinyl collection just to hopefully touch some of our hearts and reminisce just a bit.  I am keeping the entire themes set in my letter for the month, that way you can see where we have been and where we are going.

First Sunday, November 27       LOVE… Love is Born in the City of David

Second Sunday, December 4     HOPE… Hope is Sought in the East

Third Sunday, December 11      JOY… Joy is Abounding in the Heavenlies

Fourth Sunday, December 18    PEACE… Peace is Proclaimed in the Fields

Fifth Sunday, December 25       CHRIST… Emmanuel is Found in the Manger

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”   II Timothy 2:15

God Bless Us… Every One!
