The Fourth Sunday of the Advent Season
Good Morning Family!
This morning is the Fourth Sunday of Advent and our theme today is LOVE.
On this Sunday before Christmas, with each passing year, we see the love of Christ is further and more deeply contrasted with the ugliness of this world. We should not be surprised at this at all. Jesus told us that in the last days before His Second Advent that “wickedness will abound and the love of many will wax cold” Matthew 24:12.
In just the last week, since I opened the sermon with new stories demonstrating the hopelessness of mankind; we have seen a week full of mayhem in the news. The inhumanity is becoming more and more shocking. But as it does, the love of Christ demonstrated through His disciples to the world around us must grow in intensity. And so today, in the sermon we will see the transformational love of Christ that has the power to change lives dramatically.
To the right is the schedule of Sundays, so you can see where we have been and where we are going in our Advent series… “past, present, and yet to come”. Also, note our Christmas Eve service!
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
God Bless Us… Every One!
