The Fifth Sunday of the Advent Season

Good Morning Family!

I trust everyone had some opportunities to gather with family and friends over the course of the last week. We had a wonderful evening at the Christmas Eve Service and saw many friendly faces that night with 84 in attendance.

Today is the Fifth and final Sunday of Advent and our theme today is CHRIST.  It has been a different journey through Advent this year, and I have enjoyed our times together in the Word and as we have used Dickens’ A Christmas Carol to traverse the weeks since November 30th.

To the right is the schedule of Sundays, so you can see where we have been and today, we wind up at Stave V, appropriately titled, “The End of It”.

After weeks of reflection and some repentance, we see Ebeneezer Scrooge come full circle where his repentance brings fruit of redemption.  A fitting and quite enjoyable ending to a piercing story of examining one’s life.

As always, my prayer is that we would all,

“Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”   II Timothy 2:15

God Bless Us… Every One!
