Good Morning Family!
Today, right after the morning service, we are asking those who are involved in our Wednesday Night Student Ministry in any way to stay for just a bit and meet for some new direction and vision concerning some transitions in that ministry for 2024 that we want to begin in March. If you are currently involved on Wednesday Night or would like to see where you might fit in, please plan to stay after for a few minutes here at the end of the service. There is always room for a few more souls to work alongside us.
Be sure you sign up for the Winter Banquet. It is always a highlight for our church family as we gather for a great evening of food and fellowship. The fellowship is fantastic and the food you will not find surpassed anywhere! The date is February 24th @ 6:00pm. Cost is $15 per person. Sign up today as the deadline is February 18th. If you are having trouble with the cost, come see Tracy Hudson or myself and we will help.
As of this writing, in our sermon time today we will be looking at the present issues going on all around Israel and the Middle East and I’ll share some thoughts from the Scriptures. The Bible has a few things to say about the importance of Israel as we approach, what many believe to be the final chapters of this present world system before the beginnings of events to usher in the Second Coming of Jesus.
Next week, we will return to “Reflections on Prayer” series as we continue looking at reasons we may seem to fail at prayer and how the Lord wants to help us through those things and move on to new depths of communion with Him.
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
Your Shepherd of the Hills,
Bro. Steven
