Good Morning Family!

It was so good to be back last Sunday morning.  I continue to trust in the grace of the Lord to help me continue to make progress.  I will be honest, it has been way more of a challenge than I thought it would be.  But, my Doctor Robin and Nurse Holly are right there with me and the Lord brings times of rest when rest is required.  I would ask that you specifically pray for the muscles in my leg to let up and become more accustomed to the new knee.  They have been more angry than anticipated and sleep at night is greatly desired.

However, all that said, the Lord uses these times to show us ways in which we need to lean into Him more and more.  However, after reading what I had just typed here, “lean into Him” is probably the wrong choice of words.  It should rather be “fall at His feet”.  Times when you are stopped from proceeding as usual are, many times, the seasons where you begin to remember that it is not about what you can do, but what He wants to do through you.  The Lord is using this time to walk me through a few things personally in my journey with Him; the biggest thing is letting go of self.  More on that later…

I pray we have a wonderful morning of worship, prayer, and the Word today.  I pray for our Sunday School teachers and students to be strengthened and encouraged as they teach and learn today.  And I pray that each of us leaves here with less of ourselves and more of Christ.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”   II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steven
