Good Morning Family!
Well, as I write this it is late Wednesday Night and preparations have been under way for literally a month or more for the Annual FBCCF Winter Banquet. It is always a highlight of the winter season as we gather for fellowship and fantastic food around the table with friends.
I literally have no words to describe the planning, sweat, and literal love that goes into this yearly celebration for the Body of Christ. This week has been a flurry of activity, shopping, decorating, cooking, (tasting along the way), and even a bit of remodeling. This letter is not long enough to name everyone who had a hand in the banquet, but I do want to express my heartfelt appreciation for Tracy Hudson, the fearless leader of the Events Team. Each year she pours her heart and soul into every aspect of this special time in the life of our church. So, to Tracy and the Events Team, we give you a “Standing O”! Well done, ladies!
The Fellowship Hall and Kitchen also this past week have received a much needed facelift and I am so grateful for the painting crew of Tracy Hudson, Robin Gann, Tarah Spratt, Wendy Barton, and Brenda Pond for doing such a fabulous job on color choice, prep, trimming out, and painting the whole area. I am also thankful to the Lord for the funds that were given for us to be able to paint, re-light with up-to-date LED panels, and install all new switches and sockets throughout the room. There are still a few new LED panels to install in the kitchen section. Lord willing, we should be able to wrap the new kitchen lighting up next week.
We will begin our “First Tuesday” Adult Bible Fellowship on March 5th at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. Make plans to begin to attend.
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
Your Shepherd of the Hills,
Bro. Steven
