Good Morning Family,
This past week, we have seen a major turn of events in our world. The invasion of Ukraine by Vladimir Putin’s Russian Military forces has been shocking to see…expected, but shocking, nonetheless.
As of this writing, Kyiv still stands, but is expected to fall in days. The free people of Ukraine have stood in the way of the steps Russia has taken over the previous decade of reconstituting the Old Soviet Union and now, one more piece will fall into place. Although the people of Ukraine may fight on their own behalf, no one expects the outcome to be anything but grim.
The toll already taken in just a few days has been devastating. The ever-increasing sanctions by NATO countries and other nations around the world have done little to deter Putin’s ambitions. Now, we are witnesses to the largest military action on the European continent in 75 years. This is future altering. We pray for the war to not escalate beyond Ukraine’s borders. We all know how easily this world can get drawn into widespread conflict.
Join us this morning in our 10:30 service as we set aside our normal service and share in a “Season of Prayer for Ukraine and the World”.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
