Good Morning Family!
Last week, I introduced our new sermon series entitled “Reflections on Prayer”. I had been feeling like this is a direction I should take us for a while now. But was not sure when to begin or if I was ready to begin. Then the introduction of it kind of popped up quickly while I was preparing the second part of a sermon in Luke 17. So, I felt I had to go here now and not wait further. So, we start in earnest today.
Next Sunday, February 11th right after the morning service, we are asking those who are involved in our Wednesday Night Student Ministry in any way to stay for just a bit and meet for some new direction and vision concerning some transitions in that ministry for 2024. If you are currently involved on Wednesday Night or would like to see where you might fit in, please plan to stay after for a few minutes next Sunday. There is always room for a few more souls to work alongside us.
Be sure you sign up for the Winter Banquet. It is always a highlight for our church family as we gather for a great evening of food and fellowship. The fellowship is fantastic and the food you will not find surpassed anywhere! The date is February 24th @ 6:00pm. Cost is $15 per person. Sign up today as the deadline is February 18th. If you are having trouble with the cost, come see Tracy Hudson or myself and we will help.
Praying you have a great experience on this Lord’s Day and find His Word to meet your need and His people to bring you encouragement.
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
Your Shepherd of the Hills,
Bro. Steven
