Good Morning Family!

It doesn’t take us much to get back into stride after the holidays around here.  I will be the only one losing a step temporarily, it seems.  One week from tomorrow, on January 23rd, I will be going in for surgery to have my right knee joint replaced.  I’m excited to get this underway, but still naturally apprehensive.

I will be here next Sunday the 22nd and then out for one, maybe two weeks after.  I’m certain about being out Sunday, January 29 and I have asked Bro. Dale to preach that Sunday in my absence.  The praise team will lead worship with Barney on Welcome and Announcements and Tracy leading our Church Family prayer time.  I am so grateful for those in our leadership team willing to step in and take the reins while I recoup after surgery.

We shall see what the recovery looks like for the following week.  I’m just wanting to keep everyone up to date on when and how this all goes.

Today right after the morning service, we will be gathering for our first Business Meeting for 2023.  We will enjoy a great pot-luck luncheon and some time to visit around the tables.  Then, we will get updates and reports from our varied ministry areas.  It is always an encouraging time with the church family.  If you aren’t able to bring something to the potluck, please stay anyhow as there is always plenty for everyone.

As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.”   II Timothy 2:15

Humbly Yours,

Bro. Steven
