Good Morning Family!
This morning, we want to be sure to remember the family of everyone’s dear friend, Wanda Carr. If you didn’t know by now, Wanda went home to be with the Lord this past week and we shared together in her graveside service on Thursday afternoon. Wanda was such an instrumental part of this church body over the and a good friend to all. While we will miss her, we are assured that she is in the glorious presence of Jesus worshipping Him like never before with her loved ones who had gone on before.
This morning, we too will worship together here in this earthly realm with one another as we will remember the Lord’s provision of salvation through the cross as we gather for the Lord’s Supper. That is always such a special time in the life of our fellowship.
Special thanks to Gordon Sturgeon and Dave Stover for being such troopers in the cold when we went up to Bourbon, Missouri last Wednesday morning to pick up the new church van. It took about an hour or more to get it loaded up and attached down to Dave’s trailer in the 12-degree temps. We did have help from Richard Cain and several men from Calvary Baptist from whom we purchased the van. It is now in the hands of Will up at Johnson’s Service in Crane. Pray for wisdom as he gives it the once over and helps us get it on the road.
As I mentioned last week, the Lord has led us to set up a “Fleet Fund” in our designated budget to place the funds so that we can keep an ongoing spot for funds for needed repairs to both vehicles even on down the road. So, if anyone else would sense the Lord directing to give to that area, it would be appreciated, because we don’t know exactly what we are looking at and it will indeed be a wise idea to keep a fund going for upkeep on both vehicles from now on.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
