Good Morning Family,
Final preparations are ramping up for Resolved 2023! Our leaders are hard at work prepping supplies and planning for a great three days. I would personally ask you to pray for our students here in our church family. They are committed to coming to this event and they have been looking forward to it for a while now. I would also ask you to pray for the students in our community that we go out and pick up each Wednesday. Pray that they would see the great need to clear their calendars and make it a point to come to this time that is going to challenge them to take further steps toward the Lord.
I will be very transparent with you that I believe that the Enemy and his minions are working overtime to disrupt this event with other activities being placed in the way of some of the community students attending. There are so many of you praying for Resolved and I am praying that we can see a breaking down of barriers and/or footholds in many of these students lives that will keep them from attending. One more thing we can pray for is that the parents of our community kids will see the importance of seeing to it that their student takes advantage of this opportunity that this church is offering.
This letter is written on Thursday of each week at the latest, and so I am asking the Lord to help me be able to connect and make a personal contact with each of our students’ parents/guardians in the next few days to be certain they understand the importance of making certain they see to it that their young person attends.
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
