Good Morning Family!
“Wonder World Fun Fest – Amazed By Our Extraordinary Savior” VBS is in the rear-view mirror and what a fantastic ride it was! Four great nights of food, fun, crafts, and Bible teaching. Our Kitchen Crew prepared tasty fun meals each night. The kids gobbled up walking tacos, pulled pork and potatoes, pizza, and the famous carnival corn dogs. Great job! I offer “La Toque Blanche” off to each one of you! “Merci Beaucoup”!
Our Craft and Recreation Teams kept the kids creating and active. The students made a different craft every night and had fun games planned for them each evening as well. All in all, the kiddos had some pretty great times making things and enjoying some friendly competition. Thanks so very much, Craft and Rec folks!!!
Our Bible Teaching time this year was led by Mary Davis. She really connected with the kids to teach them about four different amazing miracles performed by Jesus that demonstrated His power, compassion, light, and authority. There was no doubt in their minds as to how awesome Jesus is and how much they really need Him in their lives. Thanks so much, Mary!
To our Adult and Middle/High School wranglers who got the kids on time from place to pace each night, GREAT JOB! Its not easy to move that many students and keep them on track and on task. Way to go, TEAM!!! We could not have pulled this off without you!
I also want to thank the Decorating Crew (you know who you are), You really transformed the buildings into a fun wonderland to help the kids have a great time and a wonderful experience of being at the carnival and learning about our Amazing Savior!
We cannot end without thanking our fearless leader, Tracy Hudson, Director of Student Ministries for her vision, ideas, leadership, and love for these kids. The Lord continues to use you to be the face of reaching out to families and kids in Cape Fair. We are so thankful for your commitment to the Lord.
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
Your Shepherd of the Hills,
Bro. Steven
