Good Morning Family!
This morning is a special time in the life of our church family. Our Deacon Team will grow by two this morning, totaling six men. Today, we are going to be ordaining and setting aside for deacon ministry Eddie Harris and Clark Pond. We are so thankful that the Lord has sent these two families our way to join us in ministry. Eddie, Christina, and the girls; as well as Clark and Brenda have been such a blessing to all of us. We look forward to many years of serving the church body together as they join our Deacon Team. A short reception for Clark and Brenda and Eddie and Christina will follow in the Fellowship Hall this morning.
This evening will be another great time together as a church family. Tonight, we will gather at 7:00pm on the front lawn for a cookout and Fireworks. The church will provide hamburgers and hot dogs, we are asking anyone who can to bring side dishes and several of you might want to throw together a container of homemade ice cream. Bring your lawn chairs for a very fun night as we celebrate Independence Day together. We will end the evening with a time of fireworks put on by our “Pyro-Team” as soon as it is dark enough to enjoy them. Its going to be great family fun! Bring your bug spray!
Our VBS this year- “Wonder World - Amazed by Our Extraordinary Savior” is fast approaching. Supplies are being secured and lessons prepared! It will be a fun fair/circus type of theme! It is open for students K-6th Grade and it is July 22-25, Monday -Thursday in the evenings. Our junior and senior high students will have their own summer event on a different date in July. Please see Tracy or Robin to see where you might fit in as a VBS volunteer.
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.
