Good Morning Family!
Well friends, even though astronomical summer isn’t until June 21st, summer begins at First Baptist Church now. Next week, we will be celebrating the end of the school year with our students during our Wednesday Night program. Hot dogs and water fun for that night is in order. Pray the weather cooperates with us.
At the front of our sanctuary this morning, you will see 100 grocery sacks of food. Convoy of Hope, whom we are partnering with for our Bridges Ministry, came out last Wednesday morning with a truck load of food items for FBCCF and two other churches in Highlandville and Reeds Spring. These resources are to help us reach our communities and offer a blessing from the Lord through our ministry in the form of food. There are 100 more bags of food that were delivered that we have stored in our Bridges Resource Room next to the Fellowship Hall.
We just found out about this effort a few weeks ago and are praying to the Lord to help us make the absolute best use of this resource that is now ours to pay forward to folks in need. We are very grateful to Kim and Laurel Harvey for helping us through the Convoy of Hope Rural Church Ministry. Pray with us as we seek the Lord on a distribution effort for these 200 bags of groceries over the summer. This morning, we will take time to pray over these bags of goods.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
Humbly Yours,
