Good Morning Family!
Easter is just around the corner and I am looking so forward to that time when we will celebrate the resurrection! More on that in a moment…
What an encouraging morning was had last Sunday as we shared together in our remembrance of how our dear sister, Hazel Cowan had affected all of our lives. It was such a sweet time that the Lord laid upon us and it will be a morning I will always remember. Let us never forget her faithfulness and courage in the face of some really hard circumstances in her life; and endeavor to mirror her joy and resolve in the Lord as we go through our own journey.
This morning, I will most likely be sharing the message that had been scheduled for last week to tie into our recent theme of “Surrender”. Then beginning March 19th, we will start on the “Road to Calvary”. A multi-part message series that will take us to Easter morning. Much like we work through a series on the way to Christmas, I thought I might begin a little earlier this year and set us up to really ponder the Atonement and the Resurrection as we come up to Easter Weekend in short order.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
Humbly Yours,
Bro. Steven
