Good Morning Family!
As we approach Easter 2026, we begin to focus on the particular events in the final days of Jesus’ earthly ministry and their meaning to us and the eternal nature of the atonement. Last year, I began our approach to Easter much like we do our Christmas Season. Sermons for the Sundays leading up to Easter Sunday are designed to emphasize a different aspect of God’s plan and Jesus’ mission of salvation.
So, as of this writing (Wednesday March 11th), I am planning to begin teaching along those lines beginning today March 15th. This will take us on a journey for the next four weeks including Easter Sunday where we will focus on different aspects of the betrayal, trial, sacrifice, and resurrection of Jesus.
I am hoping to be able to help us all refocus our lives toward the message of not only salvation, but toward the fact of Jesus’ plan for our lives on a daily basis. So, join me beginning this morning for our “Easter Advent Season”.
As a reminder, today is the last day to sign up for the Winter Banquet to be held this coming Saturday March 21st, the second day of Spring 😊 I know we are a little late, but its just the way things played out this year. The sign-up sheet is in the church foyer on the table. Please stop by and sign up if you are planning on coming. Set-up and the final securing of food all happen this week. Going to be a busy one!
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
