Good Morning Family!
As I mentioned in the sermon this past Sunday, I was considering an Easter Advent Series much like we do the Christmas Advent Celebration. I always feel as though Resurrection Day, although an awesome day, gets a little “short-changed” in the lead up process. Should not Easter be afforded much of the same anticipation and preparation as Christmas Day?
So, I stopped considering it and decided to get on with it! That said, beginning Sunday, March 30th we will begin a series leading up to and culminating on Easter Morning. Next week, I will have an insert with a calendar of the themes for those weeks and of course our Good Friday Service will be on that calendar as well.
Today, we are finishing up the narrative of the raising of Lazarus from the dead in John chapter 11. The sermon title is The Sinister Plot verses 45-57. We will finish this particular incident in the life of Jesus this morning and that will leave us one Sunday on the 23rd in between before we get to the Easter Advent Series starting the 30th.
One more thing, this Tuesday the 18th is a Tuesday 1:3ABF (Adult Bible Fellowship). We will start at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall as usual with dinner, have a time of prayer, then get to the scriptures. The topic this week is so unusual and intriguing. We will be looking at the topic of “Fallen Angels and The Nephilim” as we get a first glimpse in Genesis chapter 6.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
