Good Morning Family!
Today, we are departing from the “Reflections on Prayer” message series and diving in on a short series of teachings revolving around the sacrifice of Jesus and His resurrection. We will begin this morning looking at “The Motivation of the Messiah”… What was the big picture of the mission of Jesus and what did He hope to accomplish?
The next few weeks are very important in the life of the church as we walk up to Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday also known as Resurrection Day! Do all you can do in your personal calendar to avail yourself to being together during this very Holy Season. Set it apart… that’s what “Holy” means. Of course, without the birth of Jesus which we celebrate at Christmas, there would be no Good Friday or Easter Sunday. But, that said, the death and resurrection of Jesus is the most pivotal point in all of history. Without the reality and impact of those two events, His birth would be meaningless.
I am looking so forward to the next few weeks as we will, of course, be emphasizing the events of Palm Sunday on the 24th and then later in the week on March 29th at 6:30pm, we will gather for a service of reflection and communion remembering Good Friday. The week will then culminate on Easter Sunday with a breakfast put together by our Kitchen Team at 8:30am in the Fellowship Hall, followed by Sunday School for all ages at 9:30am, and then Worship at 10:30am.
We will, after the morning service on Easter, hold our Annual Egg Hunt on the grounds for those kids who are in attendance at services that morning. The hunt will begin after the morning service. Weather permitting, it will be outside. Contingency plan is inside, if weather does not cooperate.
A final note: Thanks to all who went on the Annual Student Sunday School Outing last Sunday the 10th after church. We do this to show the kids how much we appreciate their effort in Sunday School. Lunch at Papa Grand’s Pizza, 1984 Arcade, and Dairy Queen were a blast! To the adults who went along… thanks so very much! You are all indeed a blessing!
As always, my prayer is that we would all “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15.

Bro. Steven
