Good Morning Family!
Today is week two in our four-week series of Easter 2023: The Road to Calvary. This morning’s message is “Dinner with Lazarus”. What an interesting turn of events in the last week of Jesus’ ministry before He would go to the cross. Last week, we looked at Jesus calling Lazarus back from the other side. Now this week, we will talk about the Gospel narrative in John 12 where Jesus has dinner at the house of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus right after that!
I am leaving the following paragraph in from last week’s letter because it is so important:
I do want to say a few words about our annual Good Friday Service at 6:30pm on April 7th. It is a very quiet and reflective time filled with much scripture reading, as well as music that will pull our attention to the events and meaning behind the last hours of the life of Jesus leading up to and including the crucifixion. This year, the choir will join in the service for the first time to help us properly focus on the Lord and His sacrifice for us. Also, on that evening, we will certainly share in the Lord’s Supper together as we remember Him and His great love for us. Please make plans to attend and spend that special time with your church family.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
Humbly Yours,
