From Your Pastor’s Heart March 27, 2022
Good Morning Family,
What a great morning in the life of any church, but it is an especially fantastic day in the life of First Baptist Church. Today, we set aside a man for the purpose of serving this local Body of Christ as a deacon. We have shared in several days like this in the last eight years. It is always a joy and a time to recommit all of our selves to service and ministry together.
Barney, Lori, and Landon Munhollon have been a part of our church family for a good while now and from the get-go, they jumped in with both feet. At times, going well beyond the call of duty. Barney and Lori have proven themselves to be great servants of God and great friends to everyone here. They both have served their communities, wherever they have called home, as public servants; Barney as a police officer and Lori as a public school teacher.
For the past several years now, we have been privileged to have them call Cape Fair as their home. Their sense of calling to the ministry of this church and this community is actually what brought them to Cape Fair. Their son, Landon has become an integral part of the life of FBCCF Student Ministries and occasionally has shared his giftings in worship, as he will this morning. This family is truly a blessing to this church and this pastor.
Your deacon body has thoroughly come to agree that Barney is needed and indeed called to serve alongside them in this ministry and thanks for your prayers during this time of seeking the Lord in adding to their number. Join us in welcoming Barney to our Deacon Team!
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
Your Shepherd of the Hills,
Bro. Steven
