Good Morning Family!
Today, we begin our Easter Advent Services. Each week from this morning up through Easter Sunday, Resurrection Day, we will share together in a different weekly theme for the messages that will help us travel through a few of the major events of the last days of Jesus earthly ministry before His crucifixion. This morning, we will be looking at “The Betrayal of a Friend”. Judas will be the focus of our look into the scriptures this morning.
To help you see where we are going, I put a postcard in the bulletin last Sunday that laid out the services and themes. Those are still available on the table in the foyer for you to use, should you invite someone to attend with you. I am also including that information here in this letter on this first week so you can see the progression…
Sunday, March 30th 10:30am service …………… “The Betrayal of a Friend”
Sunday, April 6th 10:30am service …………. “The Anointing of the Dead”
Palm Sunday April 13th 10:30am service …… “The Rebuke of the Teacher”
Good Friday April 18th 6:30pm evening service …… “The Death of the Son”
Easter Sunday April 20th 10:30am service ……… “The Victory of the King”
I am looking forward to this journey to Resurrection Day and all points in between. One of the points along the way is Tuesday 1:3ABF this week, April 1st. We will gather in the Fellowship Hall at 6:30pm as usual for dinner and prayer, and then begin our look at an incredibly interesting and challenging topic, “Fallen Angels and the Nephilim”. We will be looking at some things that maybe you have never seen before, or possibly have and wondered, “What in the world is all that about?” Well, we are going to dig pretty deep and be “archaeologists” of the Word.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
