Good Morning Family!
Last week, we celebrated our moms and the gift of motherhood. God was so incredibly wise when He established the family. Sons and husbands, I hope you did your best to show your appreciation for all that our moms and wives do for our families! Taking her out to lunch, a card, a gift of appreciation are all simple ways that we express our love and gratitude. Making our moms and wives feel so special any time that we can is our privilege and responsibility and on top of that it feels good to see her smile!
So, we began our Mother’s Day sermon last Sunday and we will conclude it this week. We are in I Samuel chapter 1 and the beginning of chapter 2 up through verse 11. I will review just a bit and then focus on Hannah’s Prayer today. It is a deep well of praise and devotion to the Lord from the heart of a great woman of God. As I said last Sunday, to me she is the Mary of the Old Testament.
I am so excited to announce that we have secured a speaker for our Resolved Summer Student Challenge on July 20-22. Rev. Daniel Dorr will be joining us in Cape Fair for those three days. I served alongside Daniel for many years in ministry together. His heart for students and the family is deep and his passion for applying God’s Word to their lives is intense. More about Daniel to come…
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
Humbly Yours,
