Memorial Day
Good Morning Family!
Next week, Sunday, June 5th we will embark on the coming together of FBC and Convoy of Hope in looking at innovative ways we can reach further into our community with the Gospel. As I have mentioned each week recently, to help us begin to imagine, our friends Kim and Laurel Harvey from Convoy of Hope will be with us for a Sunday of vision-casting, development, and idea planting on Sunday June 5th .
Kim and Laurel are missionaries who work with Convoy, but raise their own support as well. They will be coming to us on a LOVE OFFERING basis this next weekend. So, be prepared to give as the Lord leads you to honor the Lord for the work they will do with us next Sunday in helping us learn ways we can better serve our community and reach our neighbors with the Gospel in these very trying times.
Kim will have our message time that morning and then that will be followed by a church wide potluck and training time for the church body as to how we can begin to deepen our roots in ministry with our community and strengthen the fellowship here even better than it is already! This will be an “all hands on deck” event and future FBCCF ministry endeavor.
Please remember Gordon and Connie in your prayers daily for health, strength, safety, and wisdom as they serve in Austria with Ukrainian refugees.
Today, as we commemorate Memorial Day, I ask you to be in prayer, as I know you already are, for our country and especially the folks down in Uvalde, Texas. I am praying we will follow the Lord’s lead as we meet together this morning.
As always, my prayer is that we would all, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” II Timothy 2:15
Humbly Yours,
Bro. Steven
